It was announced in May here on PokerNews that the new 12th season of the European Poker Tour starts on August 19. The 11th season’s champion was defined at the EPT Grand Final in Montecarlo and it was 20-year-old Adrian Mateos.
The 12th season of the European Poker Tour begins in Barcelona, Spain, and will take place from August 19 to August 30, 2015. The Spanish stage is one of the most famous poker events of the EPT. The Estrellas Poker Tour will take place with the EPT for the fourth time.
The EPT second stage of the 12th season is on October 21-31, 2015 on the magnificent Mediterranean island of Malta where together with the Italian Poker Tour the next grandiose festival of poker will take place. The tournaments is going to be held in the resort of St Julian’s in the casino Portomaso.
The third stage of the 12th season of the EPT is in Prague and will pass from December 6 to December 16, 2015. The festival of poker will take place together with Eureka Poker Tour in Hilton Prague Hotel. As always, the huge number of players is expected: in 2014 millions of euros were played in 59 tournaments, comprising the Main Event of EPT, which prize fund was €5 535 000.
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) will be the fourth stage of the EPT12, and will pass in January, 6-14, 2016 in the Atlantis hotel casino on the Bahamas. In 2015, 816 players participated in the Main Event of PCA, having created a prize fund of nearly $8 000 000. The victory in a tournament was won by American Kevin Schulz, who made $1 491 580.
From February 10 to February 20, 2016, the EPT12 will be in Dublin, Ireland, where the festival returned after a 7-year break. All events will take place in Royal Dublin society. The end of the 12th season of the European Poker Tour will become the Big Final in Monte-Carlo, which will pass from April 26 to May 6, 2016 in Monaco.
As there is a long hiatus between the EPT Dublin and the EPT Monaco, the organizers are considering some other stages of the tour.
